America’s hate problem persists. We know that Blacks have been victims of hate crimes in pretty much every category since the FBI started gathering data more than 20 years ago. We can go back further, 400+ years, when Africans were enslaved and brought to America. This nation has experienced extreme hate, a sick culture of bias. Now, Asian Americans are the target of more bias incidents, spiking a 150% increase in major cities.” said Faith Morris, CMO of National Civil Rights Museum, who spoke with her colleague Beverly Taketa Sakauye, who is Asian American, about the issue, her concerns and what she’s asking people to do.
